Everil Pilgrim

Everil D. West Pilgrim is a distinguished professional, community servant, and proud Barbadian who currently resides in Snellville, Georgia. She and her husband relocated from Connecticut in the spring of 2014, bringing with them a wealth of experience across business, technology, law, and community leadership.
Everil built her professional career in the telecommunications technology industry and holds an extensive academic background. She began her university studies at Fordham University before transferring to Albertus Magnus College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing. She further enriched her academic journey through coursework at Yale University, studying Caribbean History, Literature, and Culture under the late, renowned Barbadian scholar and writer E. Kamau Brathwaite. Everil also attended Western New England School of Law for two and a half years and is currently an MBA candidate at Strayer University.
Her professional experience spans multiple sectors, including banking, micropublishing, legal services, and human resources, supported by strong competencies in writing, communication, and organizational management.
A cradle Anglican, Everil attended St. Barnabas Church in St. Michael, Barbados. After emigrating to the United States, she lived in Brooklyn, New York, before settling in New Haven, Connecticut, where she became an active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. There, she represented the church in Partners for Sacred Places, an initiative of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, and served as Vice President of the Rector Search Committee and President of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW).
Everil is also a seasoned global traveler, having visited 46 U.S. states and numerous countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, and the Caribbean, experiences that continue to shape her global perspective and cultural appreciation.
In her personal time, she enjoys writing, interior decorating, sewing, cooking, baking, and walking. As Secretary of the Barbados Association of Georgia, Everil brings precision, wisdom, and a deep sense of service, and she looks forward to collaborating with fellow Board Members in advancing BAOG’s mission and impact.
