Board Member — Barbados Association of Georgia (BAOG)

Frank Durant is a proud native of the Parish of St. Philip, Barbados, whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to service, leadership, and community development. He received his early education at St. Martin’s Primary School and Industry High School, where the values of discipline, responsibility, and civic pride were firmly instilled.

Frank later migrated to the United States and honorably served in the United States Air Force, an experience that further strengthened his dedication to teamwork, structure, and public service. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business. During this time, he also worked with the United States Postal Service, demonstrating exceptional perseverance, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

After relocating to Georgia, Frank became deeply involved in the Barbadian diaspora community. He served with distinction as the last President of the Barbados Association of Atlanta, providing steady leadership during a pivotal period in the organization’s history. He is also an original member of the re-formed Barbados Association of Georgia and currently serves as a Board Member, continuing his lifelong commitment to supporting, uplifting, and preserving Barbadian culture and heritage abroad.
